Smartflow has successfully retained its ISO9001 accreditation following a virtual audit during lockdown which proved to be just as rigorous as the usual on-site process.
As a business we manage all our quality processes and documentation online which made it easy for us to share our data and systems with the assessors via Google Meet.
Every year the audit process is even more thorough than before and this year was no exception. Thankfully, we have well-established internal quality management procedures in place to deliver manufacturing excellence and efficiency, which meant we were able to satisfy the requirements of this robust accreditation.
Engineering Manager Steve Adams said: “We are pleased to have once again been positively assessed by outside experts who are used to judging standards on a daily basis in a wide variety of trades and industries.
“Meeting the requirements of the international ISO9001 standard for our quality management system demonstrates to our partners, customers and distributors that we consistently provide products and services that meet the needs and expectations of our customers and the regulatory requirements of the sectors we work in,” he added.
“The fact that we were able to complete the process with a virtual audit demonstrates in itself how effective and well organised our systems and processes really are.”
